Paracombe Wins China Export Award 

 

We’re excited and honoured to have recently received the Best Brand for Australian wine into the China market from the Australian Wine and Spirit Association. Ben Drogemuller proudly received the prestigious award at the China – Australia Wine and Spirit Forum. The event, chaired by Australian Master of Wine, Rob Geddes, was attended by more than 100 wine industry buyers and importers from China and held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

China is our largest and most successful export market. We have been exporting to this market for nine years since 2010.

A big thank you goes to our importers and friends in China and Australia who have been an important part of this journey we share together. They have made it possible for our wine to be available in Guangzhou, Beijing, Inner Mongolia, Changzhou, Yantai, Shenzhen and Shanghai.

We dedicate this award to our Paracombe team, growers, and vineyard workers for their hard work, passion and commitment to produce premium Adelaide Hills wine which honours and reflects the beauty of the earth and the grapes they are made from.

 

 

Cabernet Sauvignon 2013- Top 100/Blue Gold Winner.

 

Paracombe 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is a Top 100/Blue Gold Winner in the 2019 Sydney International Wine Competition in the Fuller Bodied Dry Reds Category.  This wine went through a rigorous judging process where it was judged with food, by an International Judging panel and up against wines from around the world.

The accompanying dish was beef ribs with black mole, celeriac puree and fried kale.  New Zealand judge, Brett Marris who is a 13th term panellist in the SIWC, comments were “Lovely herbal nose with a lift of fine tannins and fruit on the palate. Works very well with the beef ribs as the tannins become more integrated and the flavours enhanced.”

More great news!. Paracombe 2017 Grünver V5 has been awarded 90/100 by Toni Patterson, Master of Wine.  Here is her great review, “A playful blend of grüner veltliner, pinot gris, pinot blanc, riesling and gewürztraminer. Perfumed and spicy with fruit salad flavours and pleasing texture. Perfect for breezy, summery days”.
