2008 Adelaide Hills
Pinot Noir
As producers of fine Adelaide Hills wine, Paul and Kathy Drogemuller of Paracombe regard Pinot Noir as a grape variety perfectly suited to the region. This wine displays elegance in a fruit driven, medium bodied style.
The fruit for this vintage was harvested mid March from specialist, Adelaide Hills vineyards and features various clones. 2008 produced excellent quality fruit yields for Pinot Noir giving lifted aromas and good flavour definition.
Ageing for 12 months in French Oak barriques gives this wine soft development and structure in a balanced style.
Paracombe Pinot Noir will tempt you with lifted, alluring aromas of wild strawberry, cherry and toffee notes. Bright crimson in colour, the palate offers gentle, approachable flavours of cherry and plum with fine tannins and subtle spice on the finish.
Ah the romance of Pinot, just surrender and enjoy!
