Sauvignon Blanc 2009
Paul and Kathy Drogemuller’s ancient river–bed vineyard near the Hills face is amenable to a wide variety of wine styles. This Sauvignon Blanc reminded James of ’lemon sherbet’ while Tom liked its ’evenness’ of ’mandarin–peel’ flavour and ’creamy weight’. The Adelaide Review Hot 100 South Australian Wines
Another great result from the Drogemullers’ Paracombe vineyard that has plenty of gooseberry and tropical fruit, really fresh and lifted. The palate is a smoothly textured and ripe, flavoursome mouthful of tropicals and gooseberry fruit flavour, some melon through the finish and a fresh, clean appeal.

Paracombe is consistently at the top of the tree when it comes to many of the most important styles in the Adelaide Hills. This Sauvignon has a good dose of gooseberry and tropical fruit flavour with the kind of irresistible clean, crisp finish that keeps you coming back for more, and more.

Holland Creek Riesling 2008
From the Adelaide Hills, this is a very refined, tight, racy Riesling with a haunting fragrance and a bracing vitality in the mouth. Good acidity yet soft, with a refinement that seems set to preserve it if cellared. Now to six years.
Huon Hooke, Good Living, Sydney Morning Herald 92 points July 2009
Elements of spice and candied fruit frame the bouquet; the palate shows a zesty lemon personality, with a talcy texture and zesty citrus finish.
James Halliday, Wine Companion 2010, 92 points
A nice, fresh lime–scented Adelaide Hills Riesling that’s compact and restrained, well captured and savoury. The palate is fine–cut and flavoured with citrus and apple fruits, really sparkling with zesty acidity and finishing with freshness and fragrance.

Chardonnay 2006
Perched up in the cool Adelaide Hills, Paracombe have delivered a complex yet restrained chardonnay that has terrific balance. Some gently flinty aromas, citrus and nectarine fruits, the oak works in beautifully. The palate plays savoury against fruit flavour in superb form in this fresh everyday wine – terrific all–round appeal.
